Dinner at Screen Door

We decided to eat out at the Screen Door after visiting Mama on SW Multnomah Blvd yesterday.  Bob thought that start of the Holiday weekend would not be a good time to be driving at rush hour on I5 or 217, so he took the back roads.  Ha, ha.  Talk about back roads.  He took Multnomah to Terwilliger to Boones Ferry Rd into Lake Oswego, up 43 over the Sellwood Bridge into Sellwood then into Milwaukie, and finally to Reed College and 39th to N Burnside.  It was raining all the way.  Bob certainly has a very good built-in GPS 'cause we were in the 2-door so no car GPS!  It took us 1 hour 8 minutes.  He found a parking space that looked like it was just waiting for us!  Lucky we got there 8 minutes after the restaurant opened because it was packed.  We were one of the first wave to be seated.  Some of the others arriving after us had to wait for the first customers to finish eating.
We started with Baby Romain Salad.  Yum.  Real Baby Romain.  Bob got Fried Chicken with Gumbo Soup; I got their Hamburger.  For dessert, Bob got the Red Velvet Cake and I got my usual Pecan Pie.  Yum, Yum, Yum!
