We drove from SW Portland to Astoria for lunch at the Baked Alaska. Was a very, very gorgeous day for holoholo! We crossed the Columbia on the Lewis and Clark Bridge so we'd be able to drive along the river. Have lots of "drive by" pictures. What a treat. When we got to the Astoria-Megler Bridge, we had to wait to cross because only one lane was operating. The bridge will be under repair until 2016 (Nov 2011 - 2016 for repainting and re-riveting). Meowza, meowza...It was worth the trip. Appetizer was Steamed Clams sans wine, Seared Scallops with Sauteed Spinach. Lunch was Grilled Salmon and Vegan Yam Salad. Most agreeable.
